Job Description
- Prepare and cook hot kitchen dishes according to recipes and company standards Assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations Handle mise en place preparation before service
- Ensure food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation are consistent Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stoves safely Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory and stock rotation (FIFO) Store food properly and check ingredient freshness
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff for smooth and timely service Assist in training and guiding Commis Chefs or junior staff Ensure dishes are served on time during busy operations Minimize food wastage and control food costs
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and management Assist in menu testing and food presentation when required
