Job Description
- Assist chefs in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes Perform basic food preparation such as chopping, peeling, cutting, and marinating Prepare mise en place before kitchen operations
- Cook simple dishes under the supervision of senior chefs Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas and equipment Wash and properly store kitchen tools, utensils, and ingredients
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items Help with stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out)
- Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of supplies Support other kitchen sections during busy operations Ensure food is prepared according to company standards
- Report shortages, spoilage, or kitchen issues to supervisors Follow instructions from Demi Chef, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Head Chef Maintain discipline, teamwork, and professionalism in the kitchen
