Job Description
- Oversee a team of insulators and riggers, providing guidance, training, and direction to ensure work is performed safely and effectively.
- Apply knowledge of insulation materials, techniques, and best practices to projects, including removing old insulation, measuring and cutting new insulation, and securing it properly.
- Coordinate and execute rigging operations, including selecting appropriate rigging equipment, ensuring loads are within safe lifting capacities, and guiding loads during movement.
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures, conduct safety checks, and address any safety concerns or hazards.
- Monitor work quality, ensure it meets project specifications and standards, and document any non-conformances.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are available when needed and maintained in good working order.
- Prepare reports, maintain records, and document work progress, including any issues or deviations from the plan.
- Work closely with other trades, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project, ensuring minimal disruption to the workflow.
- May be involved in training and mentoring less experienced team members, fostering their skills and knowledge.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- A minimum of 5 years of working as a INSULATOR/RIGGER LEAD.
- Proven experience in both insulation and rigging, including knowledge of materials, techniques, and equipment.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team, delegating tasks and providing guidance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- May require specific certifications related to insulation, rigging, or safety (e.g., OSHA, asbestos handling).
- In essence, the Insulator and Rigging Lead is a key role in ensuring the successful and safe completion of projects involving insulation and rigging work.
- The candidate must be well-presented and physically fit.
