Job Description
- Serve as the main point-person between field personnel and the management/HR
- Address and resolve day-to-day personnel issues raised by field staff.
- Ensure clear communication of company expectations, site policies, and procedural updates.
- Support conflict resolution and escalate issues when necessary.
- Act as the Safety Field Lead for all Turra contractor personnel.
- Promote ExxonMobil safety culture and ensure Adherence to PSMS.
- Participate in PTB’s, V&V, provide coaching continuous improvement and maintaining discipline use of PSMS among the Turra personnel.
- Assist with incident reporting, quality of documentation, and follow-up actions.
- Encourage proactive hazard identification and safe work behaviors.
- Ensure the availability of essential supplies and logistics needed for field operations.
- Maintain readiness of standard PPE for all Turra personnel.
- Verify that all personnel requiring certifications maintain current and valid credentials. Examples include: Crane Operators, Riggers, Scaffold Builders, Forklift Operators.
- Ensure competency verification assessments are completed before expiry to avoid work stoppages.
- Liaise with training providers and Turra HR/training teams as needed.
- Support communication and alignment between ExxonMobil Maintenance Superintendents and Turra Management/ Administration.
- Facilitate daily coordination of work plans, schedule adjustments, and field execution requirements.
- Help ensure Turra resources are deployed effectively to meet ExxonMobil’s maintenance priorities.
- Escalate barriers to execution and support timely resolution.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in maintenance, construction, or industrial field operations.
- Proven experience working with contractor workforces.
- Strong safety leadership background.
- Understanding of competency requirements for high-risk trades.
- Experience in logistics coordination is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a field environment.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Able to build positive relationships across diverse teams.
- Committed to safety and operational excellence.
- The candidate must have good health or be physical fit.
- Prepared to travel within Papua New Guinea as and when required.
