Job Description
- Sourcing & Selection: Identify and procure new products, balancing basic staples with seasonal items to meet market demand.
- Profit Optimization: Enhance margins through competitive acquisition, sensible planning, and careful purchasing strategies.
- Inventory Management: Generate purchase orders based on store requirements; monitor sales performance and stock levels for all items.
- Logistics Oversight: Monitor ETD/ETA for all shipments; ensure necessary documentation (Telex Release or Surrendered BL) is provided before containers arrive.
- Store Coordination: Maintain constant communication with stores regarding incoming stock, new arrivals, and reorder planning.
- Leadership & Coaching: Manage, motivate, and develop the procurement team; conduct performance appraisals and ensure KPIs are met.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Business Studies/Administration/Management or similar fields.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the execution of the Overseas Purchasing function.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with tight timelines.
- Experience in training, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel.
- Demonstrated numeric ability and forecasting skills.
- Demonstrated Customer Focus and Results Driven behavior.
