Job Description
- Troubleshooting, testing, and repairing damaged fiber lines,, and conducting preventive maintenance to ensure network uptime.
- Running fiber optic cables, performing splicing (fusion/mechanical), termination, and installing splitters and closures.
- Configuring modems, routers, and switches for customer premises equipment (CPE).
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Computer/Telecommunication); Engineering(Electrical/Electronic) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Previous experience with fiber optics, cable television, or telecommunication installations is required by some employers, though some offer training.
- Knowledge of fiber optic types (Single-mode/Multi-mode), tools (fiber strippers, cleavers), and basic networking knowledge.
