Job Description
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Tax & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with PNG Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) requirements, including GST, SWT, and Corporate Tax filings.
- Audit Management: Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure corporate governance and transparency.
- Cost Control & Inventory: Monitor FMCG supply chain costs, inventory valuation, and shrinkage to optimize profit margins.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage liquidity, banking relationships, and credit control for the division.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or similar fields.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in ERP systems (Pronto) and expert-level Microsoft Excel.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with tight timelines
- Leadership: Proven experience in training, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel.
- Analytical Prowess: Demonstrated numeric ability and sophisticated forecasting skills.
- Collaboration: Strong commitment to working with shared leadership and within cross-functional teams.
- Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a focus on results-driven behavior.
