Job Description
- Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble mechanical components and systems
- Including propulsion equipment, pumps, compressors, valves, gearboxes, rudders and thrusters
- Overhaul and service rudder assemblies, steering gear systems, and thruster units as part of vessel repair and maintenance activities
- Carry out alignment, fitting, and installation of rotating machinery and associated components.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly sketches, and equipment manuals
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Mechanical) or similar fields.
- Must have 3 years of experience in mechanical fitting or marine machinery
Additional Information
- Assist with rigging, moving, and positioning of heavy machinery and components
- Operate safely within confined spaces, engine rooms, and other shipboard environments
