Job Description
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wooden components for furniture, cabinets, doors, and other interior fixtures.
- Perform fine finishing, sanding, varnishing, staining, and polishing to achieve smooth and appealing surfaces.
- Repair or refurbish existing wooden furniture and fittings as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and design specifications.
- Operate woodworking machines, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure work meets the company’s quality standards and project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with designers, production staff, and supervisors to ensure project completion.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proven experience as a Finishing Carpenter, preferably in furniture manufacturing or interior fit-out.
- Strong knowledge of wood types, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Skilled in the use of carpentry tools and finishing materials.
- Good attention to detail and craftsmanship.
