Job Description
- Interpret engineering drawings, job cards, and specifications accurately.
- Measure, mark, cut, fold, roll, and shape sheet metal using hand tools and machinery.
- Manufacture truck body components such as panels, frames, bins, guards, toolboxes, and custom fittings.
- Assemble sheet metal components using welding, riveting, bolting, and fastening techniques.
- Ensure correct fitment and alignment during assembly and installation.
- Aluminium Pulse MIG and TIG welding.
- Operate guillotines, press brakes, rollers, grinders, drills, and other fabrication equipment.
- Perform basic machine set-ups and adjustments to meet job specifications.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, serviceable condition.
- Inspect finished components for accuracy, strength, and surface finish.
- Identify and correct faults or defects before components progress to the next production stage.
- Maintain consistency with Paulger Engineering’s quality standards and client requirements.
- Work collaboratively with welders, fitters, painters, and supervisors.
- Communicate clearly regarding job progress, material needs, or issues.
- Assist with maintaining workshop cleanliness and organization.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or similar fields.
- Trade qualification as a Sheet Metal Worker or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication and assembly.
- Competent use of fabrication machinery and hand tools.
- Experience in truck body manufacturing or heavy vehicle fabrication.
- Welding experience (MIG preferred, including Aluminium Pulse Mig and TIG).
- Understanding of structural steel and aluminium fabrication.
- Forklift Licence and Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Able to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Pride in workmanship and finished product.
- Willing to learn and adapt to custom engineering requirements.

- English language test result (IELTS General Training or equivalent - minimum 5.0 in each band)
- Evidence of relevant experience (photos of work, portfolios - optional but helpful)
