Job Description
- Knowledgeable in different welding techniques to construct, repair and maintain ships, submarines and other vessels
- Join metal parts using techniques including arc, MIG and TIG welding
- Read and follow technical drawings and blueprints
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning them and selecting the appropriate welding methods and materials based on the vessel's function and marine conditions
- Inspect welds for defects and perform repairs to extend the lifespan of a vessel
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- With experience working in a shipyard
