Job Description
- Read and follow construction blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout and specifications for the steel reinforcement.
- Use hand and power tools to cut and bend steel bars and mesh into the correct shapes and sizes.
- Position and secure the steel bars and mesh by tying them together with wire, clips, or by welding them to form a rigid structure.
- Fit spacers and supports, and then position and secure the assembled steel reinforcement within concrete forms.
- Work closely with engineering designers, steel erectors, and other construction workers to ensure the project stays on track.
- Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- help with preparing and pouring concrete, and inspecting the completed work for quality and compliance with standards.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Good English Communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools for cutting, bending, and shaping steel.
- Skill in assembling, cutting, and bending reinforcing steel.
- Familiarity with rebar bending machines is also important.
