Job Description
- Responsible for devising a Category and Channel strategy for the FMCG brand.
- Devising strategy for ranging, promotions, and price optimization.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis, both locally and nationally.
- Negotiating with existing suppliers to devise relevant and effective strategies to deliver for the brand.
- Analyzing these strategies to ensure they are working well in the business and to optimize outcomes.
- Re-building relationships with new suppliers and negotiating mutually beneficial agreements.
- Strategic management or control of a number of purchasing categories (FMCG).
- To drive total ownership improvements, including supplier performance and development of the supply base, whilst listening to and delivering results for stakeholders and in line with the business brand.
- Delivery of identified improvement projects and activities within the broader context of the Supply Chain & Procurement function.
- Using tools and techniques to profile; benchmark; research and assess the market; risks; competition; trends and new opportunities etc. to ensure continuity of supply, achieve best value, and keep the organization ahead of the competition.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Business Studies/Administration/Management or similar fields.
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the execution of the Overseas Purchasing function.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with tight timelines.
- Experience in training, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel.
- Demonstrated numeric ability and forecasting skills.
- Demonstrated Customer Focus and Results Driven behavior.
