Job Description
- Perform regular visual and instrumental inspections of pipelines, storage tanks, and other structures to detect signs of corrosion.
- Verify the correct function and performance of both galvanic and impressed current cathodic protection systems.
- Inspect coating applications for quality and adherence to specifications, including surface preparation and application.
- Coordinate with engineers and other technicians to investigate corrosion failures and develop solutions. • Work with engineers, project managers, and contractors to address quality concerns and improve corrosion control strategies.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Ensures the integrity of corrosion protection systems, particularly cathodic protection, by performing inspections, verifying compliance with standards and specifications, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
- A degree in electrical, chemical, or a related engineering or physical science field is a fundamental requirement. • NACE Certificate Level 1 • Basic understanding of site health, safety, and security procedures.
Additional Information
- Ensure all work complies with industry-specific codes, and project specifications. • Prepare detailed inspection reports, log data, and maintain accurate records of inspections and findings
- NACE International certification at Level 1 is mandatory to demonstrate expertise in corrosion control principles. • Previous experience in corrosion control and inspection, preferably in the oil and gas or chemical industries.
- Proficiency in various testing methods and equipment for cathodic protection, such as voltage measurements and coating thickness tests. • Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and specifications, including NACE, SSPC, and ISO.
- Good communication skills to effectively report findings and coordinate with diverse teams.
