Job Description
- Prepare wrought iron surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, or applying rust treatment as required
- Apply primers, paints, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment (manual or automatic)
- Perform powder coating or assist with the powder coating process (if applicable)
- Ensure proper mixing and thinning of paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications
- Inspect painted items for uniformity, coverage, runs, or defects, and perform touch-ups as necessary
- Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling paints and chemicals
- Maintain painting tools, equipment, and the work area in a clean and organized condition
- Record paint usage, job completion details, and report any material shortages
- Collaborate with the fabrication and quality control teams to meet product standards and deadlines
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proven experience (2–4 years) in industrial or metal painting, preferably in wrought iron or structural metalworks
- Familiarity with different types of paints, primers, and coatings used for iron and metal surfaces
- Skilled in spray painting, powder coating (optional), and manual finishing techniques
- Knowledge of surface preparation methods (sandblasting, wire brushing, etc.)
- Attention to detail and ability to produce clean, even finishes
- Physically fit and able to work in standing positions or lift moderate loads
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or within a team
- Safety-conscious and knowledgeable about handling chemicals and flammable materials
