Job Description
- Fabricate, cut, shape, and install structural steel components including hull plating, bulkheads, decks, frames, and foundations.
- Carry out steel repairs and replacements on damaged or corroded areas of vessels.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and ship repair specifications
- Use equipment such as oxy-fuel torches, plasma cutters, grinders, bending press, roller and guillotine safely and effectively.
- Carry out tack welding, fitting, and alignment of steel parts before final welding by coded welders.
- Operate within confined spaces, tanks, and elevated areas while following all safety regulation
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Others or similar fields.
- Must have 3 years of experience in ship repair or heavy steelwork in a marine or industrial setting.
Additional Information
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
