Job Description
- Fabricate, install, and repair piping systems including seawater, fuel oil, ballast, bilge,fire main, and air systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fit pipes to required specifications using manual and powered tools
- Develop pipe spools, including creating offsets, bends, lobster backs, and complex fittings to match vessel layouts.
- Read and interpret piping isometrics, drawings, and ship system schematics accurately.
- Prepare and align pipes for welding, brazing, or mechanical connection by coded welders.
- Conduct pipe system modifications and replacements during vessel refits and repairs
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- Must have 3 years of experience in marine or industrial pipefitting, preferably within a ship repair or shipbuilding environment
Additional Information
- Assist with loading, moving, and rigging of pipe spools, valves, and fittings as require
