Job Description
- Pulling cables through conduits, trenches, or other pathways, often using specialized tools like winches, cable-jet/blow, or hand tools.
- Measuring, cutting, and terminating cables, potentially including fiber optic and heavy-duty power lines
- Assisting with the supply of materials and equipment needed for the job, and potentially organizing and staging cables
- Ensuring a safe work environment by following safety regulations and protocols, and potentially assisting with tasks like manual handling
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Electrical/Electronic) or similar fields.
- Cable pulling can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift, pull, and carry heavy items
- Basic knowledge of electrical or telecommunications systems, and the ability to use hand tools and potentially specialized equipment
