Job Description
- • Ability to work in the mess hall on land or in the master vessel’s galley as and when required
- • Roster will include working ½ days on crews’ day off at the farm or on the boat
- • Apportion, prepare and serve food to crew members/farm staff of up to
- • Order, clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, poultry and vegetables
- • Cook food stuffs according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions and portions to be served
- • Oversee menu plans and ensure that are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetising for all vessels
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management or similar fields.
- Formal cooking qualifications with associated experience or, in the absence of formal cooking qualifications, demonstrable experience in a relevant commercial cooking environment (Minimum 2-3 years) is acceptable
- Basic Computer skills (Word and Excel)
- • Experience with budgets (desirable)
- • High level of personal cleanliness
