Job Description
- Knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and SOPs.
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their duties to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Ensure that dishes are prepared and presented according to recipes and standards.
- Supervise and inspect all preparation and cooking equipment on a regular basis to ensure that they are kept clean, sanitary, and in perfect operating order
- Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assure kitchen personnel are trained in best cleanliness and sanitation practices
- Monitoring all Health & Safety aspects within all areas of the kitchen including storage of all foodstuffs, stock rotation, date labelling and documentation of temperature controls ensuring compliance with HACCP.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Education: At least 2nd-year college level in a culinary degree.
- Experience: 2–5 years in a hotel or fine dining restaurant with a leadership role.
- Training: Completed training and food safety certification.
- Language: Proficient in English. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with excellent leadership abilities.
