Job Description
- Assembling and installing electrical components like circuit breakers, drives, transformers, relays, and switches within control panels according to specifications.
- Connecting power, control, and data cables to appropriate terminals, ensuring secure and reliable connections.
- Interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to guide the installation and termination process.
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical problems within the panels, including identifying faulty components and wiring issues.
- Cutting, stripping, and preparing the ends of cables for connection.
- Properly routing cables within the panel to ensure neatness, prevent damage, and meet wiring standards.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Electrical/Electronic) or similar fields.
- Need to be familiar with different types of power control, and data cables, including their specific termination requirements
- Understand the differences between various termination methods like crimping, soldering, and using specialized connectors.
- Skilled in various termination techniques, including proper stripping, lug attachment, and securing connections to prevent loose wires or shorts.
- Electricians should be able to troubleshoot issues related to terminations such as loose connections, shorts, and incorrect wiring.
- Proficiency in terminating power, control, and data cables, including experience with various cable types and sizes (e.g., big diameter power cables, fiber optic cables).
