Job Description
- To oversee all financial aspects of our poultry operations. • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Requires an understanding of agriculture and poultry industry economics, cost structures (including feed, labour processing) and working capital cycles.
- Oversee daily financial operations including accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and present findings to senior management.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Monitor and analyse costs related to feed, processing, labour, logistics and overheads.
- Establish and track production cost metrics (e.g. cost per bird, cost per egg, feed conversion ratio).
- Conduct variance analysis on actual vs. budgeted performance
- Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with department heads
- Provide rolling forecasts considering seasonal and market fluctuations in poultry production
- Manage cash flow and working capital requirements to ensure liquidity
- Monitor receivables and payables to optimise the cash conversion cycle
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations and internal policies
- Coordinate internal audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis
- Supervise finance staff and ensure proper training, development and performance management
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. CPA/CA is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the agriculture or poultry industry.
- Hands-on experience with ERP Systems (Sage 300) and Microsoft products.
- Deep knowledge of cost accounting in agriculture or manufacturing
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to think objectively and demonstrate sound judgement
