Job Description
- The Construction Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- The role provides leadership to site workers, subcontractors, and trades while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Direct and oversee daily construction activities including civil works, shed building, warehouses, utilities, and related infrastructure.
- Interpret and implement construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ensure work is carried out according to plans, timelines, and quality standards
- Supervise site workers, subcontractors, trades, and equipment operators.
- Assign tasks and monitor productivity of crews.
- Train, coach, and mentor junior site staff where required
- Enforce workplace health and safety regulations on site
- Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox talks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, building codes, and local regulations
- Monitor and manage use of construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Ensure machinery and tools are used correctly and safely.
- Request materials and resources as required to maintain workflow
- Conduct regular quality checks of work performed.
- Identify and address construction issues or defects promptly
- Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and communicate with management on project status
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Civil) or similar fields.
- Trade qualification in carpentry, masonry, civil works, or related field (Certificate or Diploma preferred)
- Proven experience (7+ years) in construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
- Sound understanding of WHS (Workplace Health & Safety) requirements.
- Experience with poultry or agricultural infrastructure (desirable but not required)
