Job Description
- Lead and manage all manufacturing operations across poultry processing, egg grading, and pulp moulding facilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with business goals to optimise throughput, quality, and profitability
- Collaborate with senior leadership to plan and execute capital projects, plant upgrades, and automation initiatives
- Build and lead high-performing teams by mentoring plant managers, supervisors, and key staff
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement
- Implement workforce planning and training programs to meet production demands
- Ensure consistent, high-quality output in line with customer and regulatory standards
- Monitor production performance and lead root-cause analysis to resolve inefficiencies or quality issues
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime
- Ensure compliance with all WHS, environmental, biosecurity, and food safety regulations (including HACCP, BRC, or ISO standards as applicable).
- Lead site audits, inspections, and certification processes. Promote and enforce strict hygiene and animal welfare protocols across operations.
- Develop, manage, and report on budgets for each facility.
- Drive cost control initiatives and seek opportunities for operational savings without compromising quality.
- Ensure effective supply chain coordination to maintain material availability and optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor and report on key operational KPIs (e.g., yield, efficiency, downtime, OEE, grading accuracy, and waste reduction).
- Use data to drive continuous improvement and decision-making
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Chemical); Engineering(Environmental/Health/Safety); Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management; Science & Technology or similar fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 8–10 years of manufacturing leadership experience, ideally in poultry, food processing, FMCG, or agricultural sectors
- Proven experience managing complex operations and multi-site teams. Strong knowledge of food safety systems, WHS legislation, and production technologies.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and capital project management. Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- The Senior Manufacturing Manager plays a critical leadership role within the organisation, overseeing the end-toend operations of the poultry processing plant, egg grading facility, and pulp moulding (egg carton) production.
- This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards, managing costs, and delivering on key performance indicators across all manufacturing sites
