Job Description
- Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
- Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
- Fully aware of GMAW/FCAW complete process.
- Weld carbon steel & stainless steel according to blueprints.
- Reading and interpreting specifications and engineering blueprints accurately
- Operating cranes and other machinery for transporting materials to welding worksites.
- Determining correct gas ratios.
- Testing the strength of each joint during and after project completion.
- Liaising with the welding supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for improvement.
- Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
- Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures, applicable laws, rule and regulations, environment, health and safety regulations.
- To undertake any other duties as reasonably required by Welding Supervisor/Production Supervisor/Manager.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Has 3-5 years of experience in GMAW/FCAW welding.

- Able to read & understand WPS
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints with welding symbols
- Ability to lift up to 35 Kg
