Job Description
- Fabricate and assemble wrought iron products based on technical drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions.
- Cut, bend, shape, and weld iron materials using appropriate tools and machinery (MIG/TIG/Arc welding, grinders, cutting torches, etc.).
- Perform layout work using measuring tools and marking equipment to ensure accurate dimensions.
- Install fabricated items on-site when required, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and finish.
- Carry out finishing work such as grinding, polishing, or applying protective coatings.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Inspect finished products for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with design teams, supervisors, and other fabricators to ensure project completion on time.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proven experience (typically 2–5 years) as a Fabricator, Iron Smith, or Metal Worker in wrought iron or ornamental metalwork.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches.
- Skilled in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc) and metal fabrication tools.
- Good knowledge of metals (especially iron and mild steel) and their properties.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Certification in welding/fabrication is a plus.
