Job Description
- Develop new recipes and update existing ones for a wide variety of baked goods, including desserts, breads, and confections.
- Bake and decorate a wide range of products, from daily offerings to elaborate custom cakes and pastries.
- Oversee the pastry station, monitor stock levels, order ingredients, and ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the area.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff and assistants, delegating tasks and ensuring they follow procedures and standards.
- Maintain high standards for food quality, taste, and presentation. This includes a strong understanding of baking science and precise techniques.
- Work with other chefs, such as the executive and sous chefs, to ensure the overall success of the kitchen and to plan menus for events.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- With good communication skills
- With experience working as a pastry chef, baker, or in a similar role is often required.
