Job Description
- Assist the Shawarma CDP in preparing, marinating, grilling, and slicing shawarma meats (chicken, beef, lamb, etc.).
- Prepare mise en place for shawarma items, sauces, salads, and breads before service. Follow recipe standards and portion control to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shawarma station at all times. Support in setting up and dismantling the shawarma spit, grills, and related equipment.
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation following HACCP and food safety guidelines. Assist in preparing side dishes and accompaniments such as garlic sauce, tahini, pickles, and Arabic bread.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality. Work cooperatively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Report any maintenance issues, shortages, or spoilage to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef. Uphold hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in all kitchen activities.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Hotel & Restaurant Management or equivalent.
- Food Safety /HACCP training preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an Arabic or Mediterranean kitchen preferred.
