Job Description
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and components in vehicles. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Repair or replace defective wiring, switches, relays, fuses, and other electrical components. Work on electrical systems in a range of vehicles including cars, trucks, buses, and agricultural machinery.
- Install aftermarket electronic systems such as GPS, audio systems, security alarms, and dash cams. Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Perform battery checks, alternator testing, and electronic control module (ECM) programming. Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians to ensure full functionality of vehicle systems
- Maintain records of repairs and parts used. Adhere to health and safety standards in the workplace.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- TESDA certification in Automotive Electrical Systems, Auto Mechanics or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years f hands-on experience as an Auto Electrician in a workshop or fleet maintenance setting.
- Proven experience in diagnosing, repairing, and installing electrical and electronic systems in vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, scanners, and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to repair and install alternators, starters, batteries, lighting system, air conditioning units and other electronic components.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and customer service skills.
