Job Description
- Review and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ). Inspect welding joints, weld dimensions, and weld quality according to applicable codes (ASME, API, AWS, IS
- Monitor welding processes, consumables, and heat treatment activities. Conduct visual inspections and coordinate NDT activities such as RT, UT, MT, and PT. Verify base materials and filler materials for certification and traceability.
- Ensure proper welding sequence, preheat, interpass temperature, and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT). Identify and document non-conformances, and verify corrective actions.
- Prepare inspection reports, weld maps, and welding records for project documentation. Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Work closely with construction, fabrication, and QA/QC teams to resolve welding issues. Support mechanical completion and commissioning teams with weld documentation.
