Job Description
- Conduct inspections of piping, static and rotating equipment, tanks, and other mechanical systems. Verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, and international codes (ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, ISO).
- Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control Procedures. Witness welding activities, review WPS/PQR, and verify welder qualifications.
- Perform dimensional inspections, hydrostatic tests, pneumatic tests, and NDT coordination. Inspect materials for proper certification, identification, and traceability.
- Monitor installation of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels. Ensure adherence to proper torqueing, alignment, and installation practices. Identify non-conformances (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, test certificates, and turnover dossiers. Participate in mechanical completion and pre-commissioning inspections. Ensure compliance with site safety rules and permit-to-work systems.
