Job Description
- Perform quality inspections for electrical installations, including transformers, switchgear, control panels, protection systems, grounding systems, and power cables.
- Review design drawings, technical schematics, and specifications for accuracy and alignment with quality standards.
- Conduct visual inspections and testing of high-voltage and low-voltage systems to identify potential issues or non-conformities.
- Oversee and witness electrical testing and commissioning activities, including but not limited to:
- Insulation resistance tests (IR).
- Transformer ratio and oil testing.
- Relay testing and calibration.
- Continuity and functional testing of control circuits.
- Ensure all test results meet the required standards and document findings.
- Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any issues identified during inspections or testing.
- Coordinate with the QC Manager, Site Engineers, and Project Manager to resolve non-conformities effectively.
- Track corrective actions and ensure they are implemented as per approved plans.
- Inspect incoming electrical materials and equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, busbars, and cables, to ensure they meet specifications.
- Verify vendor-supplied material certifications, test reports, and compliance with approved documentation.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records, including inspection checklists, NCRs, and observation reports.
- Review and validate Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements (MS) for electrical works.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on quality-related activities for audit purposes.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Electrical/Electronic) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
