Job Description
- Implement internal Safety & Health audits, training and reviews in order to ensure compliance with Nesma & Partners commitment to the Health & Safety of its workforce, employees and the OHSAS18001 standard.
- Facilitate the certification and/or re-certification process of OHSAS 18001 according to the latest, ensuring compliance with this standard helps Nesma & Partners meet legal and regulatory requirements related to workplace health and safety and ensur
- Conduct Safety Management Standards on an annual basis that helps Nesma & Partners ensure that their processes, procedures, and practices remain in compliance with the latest standards and regulations.
- Oversee the implementation of latest implemented OHSAS 18001 at Corporate and Project levels on an annual basis to ensure that safety measures are up-to-date and effective.
- Coordinate with the Safety Managers on sites in the preparation of an annual internal audit program to create a comprehensive and effective internal audit program.
- Monitor the compliance to the health and safety requirements throughout the Nesma & Partners to prevent workplace incidents and their associated consequences.
- Conduct internal audits in accordance with the approved audit schedule to ensure compliance with the safety system and policies.
- Maintaining statistics and trends information and provision of reports to the QAQC & HSSE departments to make informed decisions regarding safety initiatives.
- Review and contribute to Safety policies and procedures that enhance the quality and comprehensiveness of safety policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect the latest best practices.
- Maintain audit documentation and records so that Nesma & Partners is taking proactive steps to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Identify and report hazards in workplaces in order to reduce the risk of workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses and make sure that appropriate actions are taken to prevent harm.
- Participate in mandatory health and safety training sessions in order to stay updated on the latest safety practices and regulations to fulfill the role effectively.
- Conduct training courses for the company’s personnel to help employees understand potential hazards, best practices and safety protocols.
- Keep the company’s personnel updated on the latest health and safety regulations.
- Help to keep the safety personnel updated with the latest and the most advanced training techniques for the construction crews to minimize the likelihood of incidents that could lead to harm or property damage.
- Coordinate with HSE Administrators the maintenance of OSHAS documentation and records, ensuring that OHSAS documentation, including policies, procedures, guidelines, and manuals, is properly controlled, updated, and accessible to relevant personnel.
- Follow all relevant HSSE processes, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Demonstrate compliance with the organization’s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value-driven culture within the organization.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
- Conduct all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet HSSE requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Others) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Bachelors in Engineering, or any other related field.
- 6 years’ related experience with 2 years’ experience with growing managerial accountability in roles within similar positions.
- Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance Knowledge, Quality Assurance Management, Quality Management System (QMS) Proficiency, Digital Documentation and Record Management, HSSE Expertise.
- Masters in Engineering, or any other related field. Safety Diploma, or similar certifications.
- Experience in the EPC industry.
