Job Description
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, attend on breakdowns and technical services for underground Ancillary mining equipment.
- Provide training and guidance to operators and the internal maintenance team.
- Develop improvement recommendations to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- Diagnose equipment faults and develop repair plans.
- Equipment to be serviced: Manitou telehandlers and Material handling machines, Terex Franna cranes, Perkins engines and Deutz engines, SANY excavators and road machinery, & Atlas Copco compressors and other Ancillary equipment
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Mechanical) or similar fields.
- Relevant professional training or certifications (minimum Level 2 — Heavy Equipment Mechanic)
- Experience working on international mining projects or with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) authorized service teams is an advantage
- High-level English proficiency, both written and spoken
- Ability to provide clear, simple training and instructions to local staff
- Ability to work independently and lead a team
- Responsible, hardworking, and open communicator
- Physically and mentally prepared to work in challenging underground mining conditions
- Willingness to work on a roster basis at mine sites
- Physically and psychologically fit for continuous work in harsh conditions
- Strong commitment to following Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards
- Specialized training or certification on SANY, Manitou, and Atlas Copco equipment – preferrable
- Experience developing maintenance plans and writing technical reports
