Job Description
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial and commercial refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in refrigeration units, condensers, compressors, evaporators, and related equipment.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues.
- Maintain compliance with industry safety standards and company procedures
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with other technicians, plant operators, and management to optimize plant operations.
- Ensure energy-efficient operation and environmental safety of refrigeration systems.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, equipment, and regulatory standards.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Industrial) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Experienced with at least one of the following compressor systems: GEA Grasso, Saproe, Mycom, Bitzer
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a refrigeration technician in a commercial or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, including ammonia and Freon-based systems
- Diploma and Technical certification in Refrigeration Technology, HVAC, or a related field.
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of refrigeration units.
- Understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and automation in refrigeration.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations.; Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency practices in refrigeration systems.; Strong problem-solving and comm
- Physical ability to perform hands-on work, including lifting and working in confined spaces
- EPA Certification or equivalent for handling refrigerants.
- Experience with industrial ammonia and freon refrigeration systems
- Project management or supervisory experience is a plus
