Job Description
- Assemble, disassemble, and recondition a wide range of valves including gate, globe, ball, butterfly, safety relief, and control valves.
- Inspect valve parts for wear, corrosion, or damage and replace components as necessary.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometric diagrams, and technical manuals for valve assembly.
- Perform lapping, grinding, and fitting of valve components to required tolerances.
- Conduct pressure and leak testing (hydrostatic or pneumatic) of valves according to API/ASME standards.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company safety standards and refinery procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of valve repair and assembly activities, including serial numbers and test results.
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, gauges, and other mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and quality control inspectors during valve servicing and installation.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety drills, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Mechanical) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- With at least 3 years of work experience in Oil and Gas and Refinery industry.
