Job Description
- performs a variety of skilled duties operating and maintaining electrical power distribution systems and associated equipment with a voltage above four hundred volts and below twenty three thousnad volts
- Work involves installing and maintaining transformers, switchgears, and emergency standby generators; repairing and replacing underground cables; identifying and troubleshooting problem areas; and installing, testing, and maintaining electrical machi
- Work may also include operating and maintaining a medium voltage electrical substation. Positions in the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation are also responsible for installing, maintaining and testing truck height-sensing equipment; and instal
- Work is performed independently within procedural and safety guidelines and requirements.
- Work is reviewed by a Medium Voltage Electrician Foreman or an administrative or maintenance supervisor for adherence to standards.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
