Job Description
- develop and implement the project's quality control plan (QCP) ensuring it meets project specifications and industry standards
- conduct regular inspections, audits and tests on materials, workmanship, and project processes to ensure adherence to quality standards
- collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain and improve quality control processes
- review construction drawings, specification, and contracts to ensure alignment with quality requirements and identify potential issues before they arise.
- ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and building codes
- track and documents quality metrics, including non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- provide training and guidance to project staff and subcontractors on quality standards and procedures
- maintain clear and up to date records on quality control activities, inspections, and testing
- prepare and submit quality control reports and updates to seniors management, highlighting any quality issues and their resolutions
- oversee the verification of materials an submittals to ensure they meet specifications
- conduct pre construction and final quality control checks to ensure the project is on track to meet all quality standards by completion
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
- proven experience as a Quality Control Manager in the construction industry (5+years preferred)
- strong knowledge of construction codes, industry standards, and regulations.
- Experience with LEED-Certified projects and sustainable building practices
- OSHA or safety related certifications
- CQM (construction quality management) certification or other relevant professional training
- certification such as ISO 9001, sis sigma, or project management professional (PMP) are a plus
- familiarity with construction management software and quality control tools
- experience with large scale construction projects, including commercial, residential or infrastructure
