Job Description
- fitting and installation of new passenger and goods lifts, escalators, travelators and moving walkways on the basis of technical documents
- identifying and repairing electrical and mechanical faults and replacing damaged parts
- Have an aptitude for electrical and/or mechanical work
- Designing, manufacturing, and installing components that fulfill requirements
- Analysing problems or deficiencies and developing solutions to resolve them.
- Estimating budgets and time scopes for each project
- Writing technical documentation for machine operators
- Ensuring that products meet compliance regulations
- Collaborating with project managers and other engineers in our team
- Have excellent troubleshooting skills
- Be able to understand engineering drawings and principles
- Have good communication and customer care skills
- Be able to plan and organise workloads / project
- Be computer literate for updating records, writing reports and documentation
- Providing technical advice, analysing and interpreting data.
- Be willing to work flexibly in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required, with some employers preferring or requiring completion of a relevant technical training program or apprenticeship.
- Understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission. Experience with hand and power tools is essential.
- Knowledge of basic electrical principles, wiring, and control systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and in confined spaces
- Ability to work long and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
