Job Description
- Plans, reviews and administers accounting systems and procedures, analyses financial information needs of the organization.
- Provides advice on financial planning and risk management, provides management with reports to assist in decision-making.

- Monitor, control, arrange and negotiate foreign currencies and overseas account payments.
- .Provide inventory costing analysis and management of raw materials, work in progress and finished products monthly, make a report and recommendation when inventories are too low or too high to the factory manager and the sales and marketing manager
- Verify inventories against accounting records on a regular basis;
- Account and make a report of cost of raw materials, fixed overheads and variable overheads that went into production and calculate unit cost of finish product; Prepare a breakeven analysis;
- Provide support to finance and accounting including financial analysis related to general accounting, cost accounting, shipments and product costing

- Prepare a breakeven analysis; Assist in preparing, monitoring and analysis of monthly and yearly budget for the Factory.
- Prepare a monthly Production Report showing the quantity amount and percentages of yields and obsolescence; monthly report of ordering costs and carrying costs of inventories;
- Based on past performance and projected targets, determine the volume of inventories sufficient to efficiently run the factory;
- Compile analysis of financial information to prepare entries to accounts and other delegated duties as required and assist in preparing, monitoring and analysis of monthly and yearly budget for the Factory;
- Review and monitor accounting and related Develops professional capability through on-the-job-training and staff training programs as required by Labour Department and Industrial Relations.
- Carry out other responsibility and perform duties as assigned within Lae Biscuit Group of Companies
- Work closely and report direct to the Chief Accountant.
- Carry out relevant duties as assigned by the Financial Controller & Policy & Planning Manager.
- Review and monitor accounting and related systems in the factory for control and efficiency purposes; Perform other delegated duties as required.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
- Should have a Degree in Business Administration or Commerce major in accounting
- CPA and be eligible to be registered as a member with Papua New Guinea Institute of Accountants.
- Must have at least 5 years work experience as an accountant in a manufacturing plant or factory with emphasis in cost accounting, budgeting, audit and systems and procedures review.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Able to communicate at all levels. Good command of both written and spoken English.
