Job Description
- • Proficiency in the use of Omicron HV test equipment including CMC-356, CPC-100, CT Analyser, CPTD1 (power factor) and FRAnalyzer (SFRA).
- • Prepare detailed technical reports and documenting test results.
- • Test HV installation to verify calibration of assets are within tolerance levels, document results, ensure the installation conforms to regulations and safety requirements.
- • Read plans, drawings & diagrams and submit modifications to Senior Electrical engineers as required.
- • Testing and commissioning of such assets: o Transformers o Protection relays o GIS switchgear, air insulated switchgear o Current transformers o Voltage transformers o Capacitive Bushings o Motors o Cables o Capacitor banks, harmonic filter units o
- • Liaising with technical support staff to achieve the most efficient outcomes and assist in system improvements.
- • Provide input and assist electrical engineers in the design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on substations and switchgear.
- • Completion and submission of all relevant documentation and reporting paperwork.
- • Competent in preparation of commissioning / testing documentation, testing plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works
- • Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management Systems i.e. Permit To Work systems, Job Hazard Analysis, Safe Work Method Statements.
- • Strong safety focus and to be a leader in adhering to site safety processes. • Work safely both independently and in a team environment.
- • Working knowledge of High Voltage systems.
- Conduct product training and presentation for electrical test equipment such as Omicron CPC 100, CMC 356, DANEO , CT Analyzer, MBX1, Votano 100, Arco 400, Testrano. Doble M4000, B2 electrical test equipment, etc.
- Conduct training for full implementation and testing of IEC 61850 substation using Omicron Products.
- Conduct electrical testing and commissioning for High voltage equipment and Primary and Secondary injection testing and Commissioning on electrical assets such as:
- Power Transformer, Power Circuit breakers, Disconnect Switch, Surge Arresters, Current transformer, Capacitive Voltage transformer, High voltage cables, PD/TD Protection Relays, Protect Generator . Metering devices, PLC and IED’s.
- Design and Substation Automation, building substation automation HMI. Integrating existing system to Zenon Copa Data (SCADA) system. Arc Flash Studies. Experience in software- Etabs, Omicron, SEL, Siemans, Ziv, ABB, GE
- Design and implementation of different communication protocol.
- Conduct Field services for Monitoring and Diagnostic products of GE such as DGA 900 , BMT 330, Tranfix 1.6, Transfix 500, Multitrans, Taptrans, Hydran M2-X and Transport X.
- Provide technical support for Protection and Control products.
- Setting and testing of protection relays (Siemens, ABB, GE, Alstom, NR, Basler, etc)
- Conduct trouble shooting of switchgears, CPP, MCC, and other electrical equipment when deemed necessary
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
- Can confidently speak and understand the English language.
- Electrical Engineering degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Electrical discipline.
- Deep experience in the high voltage industry.
- Intermediate computer skills (email, work spreadsheet, and databases).
