Job Description
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of heavy equipment including dump trucks, backhoes, excavators, telescopic handlers, bulldozers, and roller compactors.
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical manuals, ensuring timely and accurate repairs in the field and workshop.
- Maintain detailed service records and reports, documenting repairs, parts used, and completed maintenance tasks for compliance and tracking.
- Collaborate with operators, site supervisors, and fleet managers to identify equipment issues early and ensure optimal machine performance and safety.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Technical Diploma or Certification in Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment, especially dump trucks, excavators, backhoes, and similar machinery.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, and electronic control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor environments and under varying site conditions.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL or equivalent preferred); safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, MSHA) are a plus
