Job Description
- Set-up and monitor machine operations according to standard operating Procedures. Understand department safety, quality and regulatory requirements, and production goals; actively engage in meeting these goals
- Inspect raw materials and products to ensure there are no visual defects; take corrective action as needed. Perform advanced machine adjustments to ensure that proper construction specifications are being met
- Perform material disposition on all work-in-processes (WIP) parts as assigned. Minimize the production of products that do not meet specifications by quickly taking action and using investigative, troubleshooting, and mechanical skills
- Interrupt machine operation as necessary to correct operating problems. Accurately measure work in process (WIP) and finished goods in inches or centimeters. Assist in training of new operators
- Communicate technical issues in a timely manner to all levels (managers, shift supervisor’s, co- workers, maintenance. Assist with failure and perform regular minor preventive maintenance
- Perform troubleshooting to solve equipment malfunction. Keep accurate records and explain any discrepancies. Perform complete setup, adjustments, startup, and shutdown of all equipment in the area
- Maintain housekeeping at a high level in Extrusion area, through the involvement of all extruder employees.. Perform any additional duties as assigned by supervisor, facilitator, or lead. Keep accurate records and explain any discrepancies
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Others or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in operating extrusion equipment, preferably in uPVC and HDPE pipe production.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong understanding of extrusion processes and equipment. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery. Strong problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
