Job Description
- Read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, cutting, or grinding.
- Work in confined spaces, at heights, and under varying weather conditions.
- Cooperate with shipyard teams, including fitters, fabricators, and supervisors.
- Perform welding operations (MIG, TIG, Arc, FCAW, etc.) on ship structures such as hulls, bulkheads, decks, and piping.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Must have a Grade 3 level - Japan Welding Skill Test
- Must completed the JITCO/OTIT Technical internship.
