Job Description
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and project specifications to understand fabrication requirements
- Select appropriate materials, tools and equipment necessary for fabrication
- Cut, shape and weld metal components using various fabrication techniques such as cutting torches, plasma cutters and welding machines
- Utilize fabrication machinery and tools, including shears, brakes, rollers and drills to shape and form steel materials
- Ensure accurancy and precision during the fabrication process to meeto project specifications and quality standrads
- Conduct quality control checks to verify that fabricated components meed required tolerances and specifications
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure the timely completion of assigned project
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and consumables essential for fabrication
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate and coordinate with supervisors and team members regarding project, progress, challenges and potential solutions
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
