Job Description
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, smooth, or texture surfaces according to project specifications.
- Review work orders and instructions to determine blasting requirements.
- Mask and protect areas that do not require blasting to avoid surface damage.
- Maintain precision while sandblasting to create intricate patterns or desired surface finishes.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Clean and maintain blasting equipment regularly to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Handle abrasive materials and ensure proper disposal following company guidelines.
- Follow strict safety protocols, including wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Previous experience in sandblasting or surface finishing is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of sandblasting tools, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret design instructions and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precision in work.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear necessary protective equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Standing, bending, and working for extended periods in protective gear.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and abrasive materials during operations.
