Job Description
- Install and mount ice control systems (such as de-icing units, ice shields, and anti-icing equipment) onto locomotives
- Ensure proper alignment and secure fixing of ice prevention components to prevent freezing in critical areas of the locomotive during winter operations
- Check and adjust mounting systems to ensure ice protection systems are functioning effectively
- Maintain and clean ice protection systems to ensure they remain functional and reliable throughout the winter season
- Use hand and power tools (suchas wrenches,drills, and lifting devices) to mount, secure, and adjust ice components
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Candidates must have a passport.
- Candidate must know how to communicate in English.
- Knowledge of ice protection systems and how to mount and secure components such as de-icing equipment or anti-icing shields
- Proficient in using hand and power tools (e.g., wrenches, drills, lifting devices) for mounting and securing systems
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, installation manuals, and safety instructions
- Ability to perform routine inspections of ice protection components and troubleshoot any issues
