Job Description
- Interpreting blueprints to determine the shape, size, color and thickness of glass for installation procedures.
- Mark glass sheets and cut to specified sizes using glass cutters, automated glass- cutting tables, or CNC machines.
- Loading glass or mirror fittings onto delivery trucks for transport to job site.
- Operating hoists or cranes with suction cups to lift heavy glass units.
- Cleaning the job area once glass has been installed and the client is satisfied.
- Install glass in windows, doors, shopfronts, shower screens, mirrors, skylights, and partitions.
- Secure and fit glass in frames using putty, rubber gaskets, or other securing materials. Install double-glazed and energy-efficient glass panels.
- Remove damaged or broken glass safely and replace it with new glass. Conduct on-site repairs, including emergency glass replacements.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
