Job Description
- Climb on, over and around the mixer truck in order to perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections as well as to secure loads.
- Climb up and down concrete mixer trucks using ladder, doing repetitive motion to inspect concrete mix consistencies and perform Quality Control checks
- Lift truck hoods, product or equipment and tools necessary to perform inspection, repair, loading and unloading of trucks.
- Wash trucks, clean truck cabs, climb up and down truck washing facilities
- Operate the vehicle in a safe, lawful and courteous manner at all times
- Keep vehicle, cab interior and exterior clean and mixer drums free from concrete buildup, stones, debris and loose objects
- Read road signs and follow written or verbal directions
- Current medical examination certificate and strong build
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
- • A minimum of one (5) year experience in driving a commercial vehicle (Ready Mix Concrete Mixer Truck)
- • Minimum of Class B commercial driver license required.
- • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- • Previous concrete-related experience is preferred.
- • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic math skills required. Ability to read and interpret mixer truck gauges.
- • Demonstrated ability to take guidance and direction from a supervisor.
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- • Knowledge of safety and road regulations
- • Strong organizational and time management abilities
