Job Description
- The HSE Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and compliance to the company Health, Safety & Environmental policy and procedures within all Port of NEOM operations.
- Implementation and Supervision of HSE Policies: Support the Port Safety Manager by overseeing the enforcement of HSE policies and practices through regular site inspections, monitoring activities, and promoting HSE awareness across all operational
- Legislative Compliance: Ensure adherence to both local and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Hazard Identification and Communication: Actively engage with the leadership of Port of NEOM Operations to communicate and address hazards in their areas of responsibility.
- Risk Assessments: Oversee the execution of comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental risk assessments for all operations, ensuring mitigation of risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Monitoring: Ensure that all individuals in the operational areas of Port of NEOM, including employees, visitors, clients, suppliers, and contractors, utilize suitable and effective personal protective equipment.
- HSE Meetings and Communication: Lead and contribute to HSE meetings and discussions, such as toolbox talks, to foster compliance and awareness.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Manage and preserve documentation related to HSE activities, including risk assessments, emergency drills, environmental records, and inspection reports within the Port's operations.
- Improvement Action Tracking: Identify HSE discrepancies and oversee the monitoring and closure of improvement actions through coordination with respective line managers.
- Incident Reporting and Investigation: Promptly report all incidents, safety observations, and environmental concerns through Enablon, and assist in preliminary and detailed investigations to identify root causes and corrective measures.
- Permit to Work Compliance Monitoring: Oversee and ensure HSE compliance during critical safety operations under the Port's or contractors' permit to work systems.
- HSE Drills and Reports: Lead and support HSE drills, analyzing drill outcomes to pinpoint improvement opportunities and compile detailed reports.
- Technical HSE Support: Provide essential technical HSE guidance and support to the Port of NEOM Operations Teams, ensuring the integration of HSE considerations in operational decisions.
- Stop Work Authority: Implement and mandate all personnel to exercise Stop Work Authority upon the identification of any unsafe act or condition, ensuring immediate action is taken to prevent harm or environmental impact.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Environmental/Health/Safety) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- 3 years of experience in Occupational Health Safety and Environment role
- In-depth knowledge of HSE guidelines and international best practices
- Experience in incident reporting procedures
- Experience of Port Terminal Operations
- Experience of Lifting Operations
- Good operational knowledge of Microsoft systems
- Excellent communication skills in English – Arabic/Hindi is an advantage
- Recognized Level 3 Health and Safety related Qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent)
